Lars Ø. Ramberg

Resides and works in Oslo, Norway
Lars Ramberg is well known for his large-scale public installations. Throughout his career he has focused on creating site specific work including outdoor sculpture, videos, light installations, social projects, as well as art objects and photographs.
His work is the result of research and examination of subjects such as personal identity, ethics, mortality, border control, and more. Ramberg calls to light the intrinsic contradictions within each subject to encompass the light as well as the dark: the intrinsic humanity of each topic.
Lars Ø. Ramberg is an internationally acclaimed Norwegian artists, and has shown his work around the world, including at the Biennale di Venezia, the Bienal Internacional de Sao Paolo. He is represented in many public collections and museums.
